UT’s Soybean Scout Schools will be held in July (see below). These field-side programs cover the basics of soybean growth, scouting, pest identification, and general management. Pesticide recertification and CCA CEU points will be available. Scout Schools are offered free of charge with sponsorship from the Tennessee Soybean Promotion Board. Registration is not required. Participants will receive a scouting notebook and a sweep net while supplies last.

Middle TN – Lincoln County, July 10th, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, 63 Benson School Rd., Kelso, TN 37348

East TN – Jefferson County, July 11th, 7:30 AM – Noon. The school will begin with breakfast at Lisa’s County Kitchen at 1712 TN-92, Jefferson City, TN 37760. An RSVP is requested (please see the Flyer)

West TN – Dyer County, July 17th, 9:30 AM – Noon. This school will start in the auditorium of the Dyer County Extension Office (151 Everett Ave., Dyersburg, TN 38024) and caravan to a nearby soybean field.
