Soybean rust was found on leaves from Knox County from the East TN Research and Education Center.  Soybean rust pustules were present all leaves collected with an average 33% severity out of 50 leaves.  The soybeans were late planted and at reproductive growth stage R7.

To date the following counties have had confirmed soybean rust: Giles, Shelby, Madison, Cannon, Franklin, Lake, and Knox. Soybean rust will continued to be monitored for the next couple of weeks.  Any positive observation will be reported here on news.utcrops.com, the sbrusa.net website, and the UT Rust Hot Line (1-877-875-2326).
