Today, I found the kudzu bug in Lauderdale County, Tennessee. Yesterday, its presence was confirmed at several locations in McNairy County. I think these finds brings us to a total of 34 Tennessee counties that have confirmed the presence of kudzu bugs. The rapid spread of this insect is impressive, and it certainly is occurring undetected in other counties. This insect will pose a manageable but growing threat to our soybean in the years to come. You can keep up with the current distribution of this pest at http://www.kudzubug.org.
