Jackson TN – UT AgResearch and UT Extension are hosting the annual Cotton Field Day on Wednesday, September 5th , 2012 at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center.

Tour will include information from:

Dr. Larry Steckel, weed control in cotton utilizing various technologies and herbicide programs.

Dr. Scott Stewart, cotton seed treatments and plant bug management options.

Dr. Brian Leib, irrigation monitoring with soil and canopy sensors.

Dr. David Verbree, subsurface irrigation.

Dr. Chris Main, defoliation, cotton varieties, variety response to irrigation and four bract squares.

Registration begins at 8:30 am at the main office building. Tour wagons will depart the main parking area at 9:00 am. The tour will conclude at noon and UT Specialists and Researchers will be available for question at the conclusion of the Field Day.
