RAINS PROVIDE NEEDED MOISTURE
Rain fell over most of the state last week providing needed moisture and improving crop conditions. Corn producers were preparing for harvest, while cotton and soybean farmers were busy with last minute spraying. These rains also improved pasture conditions. There were 4.9 days suitable for field work. Topsoil moisture rated 6 percent very short, 18 percent short, 70 percent adequate, and 6 percent surplus.
