The conference will be held at the University of Tennessee at Martin University Center from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This year, the always popular Dave Kohl is being joined by Steve Isaacs and Richard Brock. The above financial and economic experts will provide lenders and agricultural producers with financial tools and up-to-date information on commodity and land prices, risk management techniques, and global economic and interest rate trends. The conference is an also an opportunity for you to share ideas and network with producers and lenders.
Dave Kohl’s morning sessions will focus on how global economic conditions are affecting the bottom line for farm operations. Practical tools for monitoring risk and sustaining profits will be presented in Dave’s straight-forward and entertaining way to the lender/producer team. Nationally renowned analyst and marketing expert Richard Brock will provide his assessment of energy, corn, soybean, and cotton price trends. Steve Isaacs will focus on the changing rural economy and associated opportunities and threats. Dr. Isaacs will also provide an analysis of agricultural land prices and whether current levels are sustainable.
The cost of the conference for producers is $75 with a special rate of $25 for spouses and students. Lunch and breaks are included. Most lenders find this such a worthwhile conference that they pay for their customers to attend. Check with your lender.
