Soybean rust was found on leaves from the sentinel plot in Lauderdale County.  Soybean rust pustules were present on 16 out of 50 leaves with less than 1% severity across the entire sample.  The soybeans were late planted and at reproductive growth stage R7.

To date the following counties have had confirmed soybean rust: Giles, Shelby, Madison, Cannon, Rutherford, Franklin, Lake, Knox, and Lauderdale. Any additional positive observation will be reported here on news.utcrops.com, the sbrusa.net website, and the UT Rust Hot Line (1-877-875-2326).
